Afrika Medal Type?

I picked up this Afrika Medal at the MAX show. I believe it is a type 3 or 4 based on the Antonio Scapini thread?

The ribbon is just how I like them... Obviously worn but it is missing the safety pin

Hi Scott,

Very nice medal and that is just the way I like them too. Looks great! I believe that is a type 4 by Antonio's classification system. Looks like the designer's name is impressed rather than in relief.

Nice one Scott I agree with the guys, I love those faded ribbons. I also agree with Tom, it's a type 4. As he said, the impressed "De Marchis" gives it away, it's the only type like that.

Indeed a beautiful one Scott, and yes it is a type 4. Easy to recognize because, as guys already pointed out, it is the only pattern with "De Marchis" engraved.
