    Mother cross in gold with case.

    Hello friends,
    i'd like to know if this mother cros in gold is genuine and if it's manufacturer is the same of the case (Franz Reischauer).

      Looks a fine original. I think you can safely assume that casa and cross belonging together. Mix up cases and awards is more common practice with Iron Crosses etc...

          Nice cross and case. Probably a matched set, but I can't say for certain that the cross was made by Franz Reischauer.

                I think it is pretty save to assume that. Not all those mothers were fanatic nazi's. I guess many crosses were put in the drawer still in their original case. Very often both case and cross are in pristine condition so no dealer felt the attempt to mix up cases and crosses to make nicer sets to sell. With EK I's it's a different story. An ugly cross in a nice case would be switched for a better looking example.
