        1.Oktober Medal

        Hi Hans,
I can see why, it is very nice and the Prague bar puts it over the top.

Sorry to be a nay-sayer but isn't that the 'mask fake' ? The border of the Spange is also very irregular

          Mine for comparison ..

I hope someone speaks up and proves me wrong.

          Sorry, Ian.

Congrats, an extremely rare, amazing, mounted Schickle medal.
I can understand why this set "spoke" to you, it "speaks" to me too!

            My books:

            - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
            - THE SS TK RING
            - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
            - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
            - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

            and more!

I have to admit that I share Ian's concerns on the spange, though I can't point to any specific examples of this type that have been determined to be repros. But the irregular border, the lack of details, and the missing initials (I know some originals do not have these) in the bush would have given me serious pause before buying this spange. Not saying it's for sure a repro, just that it's one I wouldn't be comfortable with.

                Hi Gents,

i knew it would make some doubt it but as Antonio already revealed to why it spoke to me i have no doubt what so ever that it´s a Schickle. Schickle to me is not know as a "master" of the details.
