    What do you make of those transversal lines/ grooves on the outer ring ?

    Looks like a good type 1 to me. The marks are file marks and I think are of no concern.

      I was looking at the C in Italienisch and it looks like a type 5 Souval ?

        Yes, it is a good original Souval attributed medal.
        In the "Italian German medal" book you can see one with the same marks in the "Type 5" chapter.
