Those of you who own Luftwaffe Honor Goblets or the Goblet document -- but not the other -- know what it means to search with the view of reuniting the two again.
I visited George Petersen over the weekend, one of our sponsors, and when looking through his document collection, I found the following Ehrenpokal documents. If you have the Goblet for one of the following documents, you should get in touch with George and bring them back together again:
Gefreiten Walter GOLETZ
Schlachtflieger
21. Juni 1944
Oberfeldwebel Ernst SCHERER
Zerstorer
18 Marz 1942
Feldwebel Leonhard BURR
Sturzkampfflieger
20 Juni 1942
Feldwebel Karl PFEIFFER
Nachtjagdflieger
8 August 1944
Leutnant Hans-Werner HANSEN
Kampfflieger
20 Marz 1944
The last document also includes a letter to perhaps his father mentioning the Goblet will be dispatched separately some months down the road.
The best way to reach George is by telephone.
