Deschler Ost Medal?

I was looking over my crusty old Ost medal and notice this mark, is it a Deschler MM?

To compare .. here is the same mm on a SpanishBlue Division Medal:

I saw a couple of other Deschler marks "1" but like yours they all appear to have a serif on the bottom, mine doesn't. Are there different 1's or I'm just looking into this too much.

I'm not sure Charlie. This is the only Deschler piece I own so I cant compare off hand. I just took a look at that thread for Eastern Front Medals and found the only "1" listed. It belongs to Hans N .... here it is (if I may post his picture):



I wouldnt be too concerned. It looks ok to me ...

Looks close enough on the top of the 1 to be the maybe we'll get more answer after "The Game"
