    Long Service Medal Groups

    Hi Guys,

I thought I'd post a couple of my long service medal groups. I bought these a long time ago and my feeling is that they are good ones.

The first is to a Austrian policeman and the second is a Heer group.

Thanks for looking and for any comments.

    All the best,

    Guy

        Guy,

Very nice bars. They have nice details I like to see on medal bars - like the individual tie downs for the medals.

                Hi Guy,

I like them too. Two, extremely nice bars. Thanks for showing them.

I have to wonder, though: Is the first bar really that of an Austrian Policeman? I would think an Austrian having the Bronze Medal for Bravery would have other Austrian decorations, Karl Truppenkreuz etc. Perhaps we are seeing the medal bar of a German policeman and German veteran of WW1 that served alongside an Austro-Hungarian unit and was recognized for bravery by Austria.

                Best regards,
                Tom

I agree Tom. This is more plausible.

Thanks Tom, Pierce and Antonio - I agree Tom's assessment seems likely - I never thought of this. Thanks again.
