As before a perfect example of an under-appreciated award.

Mine, by Klein & Quenzer ..

              Cheers, Ian.

                      Questions:

Is it possible to tell the differences of these awards from maker to maker?
Were they ever maker marked? Doesn't look like my one is.

                      Thanks
                      Lewis

I can't speak for the experts but personally I've never seen a marked one.

                        Ian.

So this would mean you could swap medals with a different paper packets and ribbons and not be able to tell the difference?

Yes, I have had a couple of those with the paper bags. None of the medals are makersmarked !

Wow! awesome collection you have! Is it a medal were the early types were all made about the same? So you cant tell which maker made which medal?
