SS 8 year Service Award medal and miniature

I have been offered several items in a swap.
Here are two of those items, 8 year service medal and a miniature.
I would appreciate your expert opinions, and further details as to what company made then and what type they are.

Both are original.
The big one is a 'Type I'...no definitive evidence has been forthcoming so far on the maker.
I can't say for definite who made the wee one either, but the only manufacturer of these that I am aware of (so far) is Otto Schickle.
