    Cased Silver Woundbade, price?

I'm being offered this cased silver wound badge, and the seller asks me to give a bid on it. I was thinking somewhere around 100-115 dollars. Would that be a reasonable price? The badge matches another silver "65" I have, and also a bagde shown by a fellow collector on another forum, so there are no doubts about the badge. Got the thumbs up for the case on the other forum, but I might as well doublecheck with You guys. Please click the pics for a larger view.

    Best regards,
    Henrik

IMO, that would be a steal, at a recent gun show I could not find a silver badge (without box) for less than $95.00. I have seen these go from about $175.00 - $225.00 cased. If you are serious about obtaining the piece, and you are able, you may want to "up" your bid. Please wait to hear other opinions on the matter first though.

        Thanks deejay and Steven.
Regarding the price, I got an reply on the other forum saying that the price on cased silver woundbadges ranges from 100 to 130 dollars. Let's see what the others have to say.

"I got an reply on the other forum" - Other forum...you mean there is another? "other forum"...Shame on you . Seriously, I think it would be great to get it for that price, and I hope it works out to your advantage.

That's a late war KB box without an Ldo logo, and a linen hinge at that.

            Whats the WB like ?

$125 is a fair and reasonable price I'd expect for such a pair.

Thanks for Your reply Marcus. I was missing the Ldo logo on the case, which I've seen on most other cased WB's. What's KB?
I didn't understand what You mean by "Whats the WB like ?", could you please explain?

              Best regards,
              Henrik

                Hi Henrik,

Sorry KB is the maker of the box, the base number would be a 629...so it's a specified WB late flat base for the box. It's nice to have the white border around the base, so not a late, late one.......but later and one of the last sorts. It's nice to have an Ldo logo, but don't worry about that being void...I have an example like this too, among a few others.

In regards to whats the WB like I couldn't enlarge the pic's, and wondered on the maker and overall condition ?

$100-$125 I agree would be a great deal.

For about 6 months now I have had my eye on a similar cased example for $165.

If I can email the pic of the WB to an Association Member and ask him to post i here, You could get a better look on it Marcus. Any volounteers?

                    Best Regards,

That's a very nice late zinc K&Q wound badge with good finish - most times this type has a darkened finish. Looks like a nice case too. I would pay $125 if I was buying.

                          Regards,
                          Greg
