Silver Wounded Badge - Real Fake ???

Hello!
I bought this wounded badge on e-stand and I´m sure it´s a fake. But the seller want to hear some other opinions.

The badge is soft metal with 19,8 gr. and as you see it is very thin.

Hi williwo, medal is a fake if you look at the pebbling around the helmet and wreath it is somewhat lacking. Quality is just not there and the detail appears somewhat soft. Not one for me . Hope this is of some help.

Hi Williwo, I too would share your concerns with this badge. Any badge which is made of a soft metal is suspect. If you can bend this with finger pressure it would indicate a lead based casting. The detail to the leaves is lacking. I too have never seen a wound badge this thin before?

I bet this badge is made from the plaster mould of a black WB as most black WBs have poor detailing on the leaves due to the paint being appiled thickly.

Hi Vadim & Ralf, I actually sent a PM to buy these badges, but they were already sold. From the photos I thought they (it) was OK.


Under the terms of the E Stand you are entitled to a refund.

Ade, I remember this group now and I am not surprised you did, from the e-stand photos the badge looked like an ok silver piece, with lack of detail possibly due to the flash. I didnt even realize it was the same badge until Williwo posted the link.

I was very suprised as I see the badge in real. But the seller will refund the payment after he get the badges return. So I hope there is no problem.

Strange WB, not even custom made.

Post some pics of the black WBs, the upper left is appearing to be an unmarked 93 but the hinge is different though.
