Hi Ran, your silver cross like fine to me

Sometimes the disc with the swastika on is not alinged quite straight. This is nothing to worry about. Just an imperfection of the manufacturing process.

Hi Ran must say im not that keen. Have you looked at the letter m on mutter looks smaller than the other letters which i must say also appear thin to me. Reverse looks a little square also. Interesting to see what others make of it. All the best.

Thanks guys, it looks ok to me but I'm gonna check it very thoroughly and
compare it to my other mother's crosses, if there will be any problem/question
I will let you know ( it's hard to inspect the backside since it's in bad condition ).

Ran, that is a perfectly original cross. I have owned a couple that had slight misalignment of the swaz button. The repros of these don't come close.

The best way to discern a real mothers cross from a fake is by the grainy pattern under the blue enamel. The fakes are usually just a bunch of irregular bumps, while the period crosses have a distinct pattern and flow to them. The enamel is usually clear ultramarine blue, and not semi opaque.

Please be aware that some crosses doint have a grainy pattern at all, but in some instances, even crosshatching.

Hi Ran,
I have a silver mothers cross identical to yours, both front and back, except the white enamel on mine can only be described as poor. I have doubts about this cross after close comparisons with my other pieces, even though it came from a top dealer. I hope someone reading this thread may have encountered the exact same cross type as ours and put our minds at rest either way, good or bad!
