Ost with packet #2

Hello,
I bought this medal with packet at a militaria show many years ago. The medal that came with it is unmarked, while I have another Ost marked 18 that would match the packet. My question is, did Wurster only make marked Ostmedaillen or did they make unmarked ones as well? I realize that unmarked Ostmedaillen are hard to match to a maker, but maybe there are some experts out there with better eyes than I that can tell.

I think the most part of these medals were produced unmarked. So yes a lot of unmarked are matching with known marked specimens.
Being really a lot of makers and being the design between them very close, it is a long hard work identify an unmarked medal.
The one you showed here is not a Wurster, so it is not matching with the packet.

So when are you going to write a book on the Ostmedaille?

There is already on market a book about the Ost medals, it is in german language, written by Sascha Weber.
It is the most important reference book on the subject, even if there are on it some questionable parts and it is missing some specimens.

I vaguely remember hearing about that book. I just don't collect Ostmedaillen enough to justify buying it, let alone having to struggle with my poor German to read it.
