            Hi Doug,

IMO both are bad. Both appear to consist of a mixture of some original and some fake parts. I would not call these "Ohio fakes" though. The long one is ridiculous. The Luftwaffe five-placer is definitely more believable, as you say, but still not an original wartime assembly IMO.

            Best regards,
            Tom

                bars

I think the police one is a copy of Heydrichs ribbon bar. The long may be ridiculous but thats how Heydrich wore his ribbons.

I cannot understand why certain fake ribbon bars are called "Ohio parts bars" or "Ohio ribbon bars" , rather than be named after the guy who made them up. He set up for years at the MAX shows in the same exact spot selling those bars. I guess it is ok to call reproduction items such as badges & hats sold by Johannes Floch, as "a Floch", or "hey it's a Floch",,, but in the case of this Ohio parts bars guy, his name is kept off the nickname for his made-up ribbon bars.

As others have said both are bad and I too believe that is a mock-up of Heydrich's ribbon bar.

                        Kind regards
