Spanish campaign medal to Condor Legion w/ box

    Hi friends,

Today I've received this medal of the spanish campaign on its original box.

    What do you think about?

Sorry in advance for the poor quality of the pics.

    Best regards!!

Indeed a Spanish Civil War campaign medal by Egana. These were made well into the 1980s.

      Hi Scott,

Then, is a "modern" unit? It's not from the end of spanish civil war?

      Regards!

Yes, lots of these mint, boxed sets around ..

I believe there is a difference in the ribbon edge colour, if I remember correctly the early ones were a green shade ?

The seller says that is from 40's or 50's...

How could I know when was the medal manufactured?

            Regards

And I understand it the early ones (1939 >) have a green colour to the edge (yours and mine are black) Also between the Arriba V Espania on some there is a parachute shaped object on some but not on yours or mine.

                Ian, let's clear something:

                Early are pre-1939 medals
                Late are post-1939

                Is that correct?

With the edge colours do you refer to the sides of the ribbons? I understand it must be black to be a mix between spanish and german colours.

With alm this, it's possible that my medal was manufactured on 40's or 50's?

                Regards

No, the Civil war only finished IN 1939 so there are no PRE '39s

No, the German colours were red, white and black.

Someone will be able to date this for you ... but not me I'm afraid. We need Gregorio to see the thread

Ian spanish colours are red, yellow, red, if you mix both groups of colours we have the colors of the medal.

And I have news, the green and black colour is for the type or grade of award, not for the year.

Black edges for combat and green edges for non combat.

                            Hi Ian,

Forgive me if I talked something wrong, it's with no doubts, due to the language. English isn't my mother language and problably I've not written in the best way.

Personally I think we havn't wasted our time. I'm here to learn from all of you, I'm very noob in this world.

Be sure I've talked you with all my respect, sorry again if I expressed something in a bad manner or if I've looked like rude, that wasn't my inttentions.

                            Best regards

P.D.: I would be pleased to see your spanish campaign medal!
