    New Medal Bar

Added this bar to my collection.

It completes a round 3 type set for me.

EK 1, EK 2, and so called Schinkel B.

The owner of the bar was a pilot.

I have a picture that has notations on it.

Can't read it as it is in German script.

I would need someone that is familiar with the language to translate.

Looks really nice, Wayne. Can we see the backside of the medal/ribbon bar and the photo?

    Thank you & best regards,

That's a great medal bar Wayne, I'm unable to read the script on the bottom of the photo.

              Hi,

the writing is a mixture of Suetterlin and Latin letters.

              What I can read is:

The first word is Mutter (Mother).
The second word seems to be STUNEBERG (probably the Family name of this old lady)
The third word could be an abbrevation of SINSHEIM.

It could be this old lady was a soldiers surrogate Mother
who took care of the soldiers.
The soldiers often used the term "Mother" to show their respect for this old ladys.

Luftwaffe Airfield Sinsheim existed in WW2. The town of Sinsheim is located in the north-east of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, approximately 20 km south-east of Heidelberg.
              Greetings

                  Hi,

the backside writing is clearer to read:
                  Not Stuneberg.

                  Mutter HANEBERG und ich
                  (Mother Haneberg and me)
                  Greetings
