here is my Azad Hind Breast Star. Post '45 pin hardware but still with the Souval back plate. Should date to around 1960. Maybe Bob can say more about this one ?

Hi Ron,

Your Azad Hind Breast Star and case looks terrific too.

You know, I think I prefer the look of the medallion and swords on the postwar example more so than that of the wartime version.

This is a badge seldom encountered by the average collector, especially first hand buying. The quality of both badges seems excellent.
I imagine the books on this medal and award shows all grades, but if the first is post war, it's sure got good quality not what one would expect to see on a post war piece. So my question is : could there have been some wartime pieces with this type pin that were originals made in the period, as I have always thought repros were made to copy some originals, and is it the general consensus that the first one posted is as thought by the owner to truly be 100% repro, I am just asking to get an education as there has always been lots of speculation on this award no matter what the grade?
