Joerg, that fluted pin would make me extremely uncomfortable on a hollow wound badge. I would pass.

          gold

Thought you might like to see these pics of a gold version marked L/14 with the same strange pin that I found for sale on a dealers sight. I posted it before and it got the thumbs down but there is something about it that I quite like. I also think that black you have posted could be a variant original but i guess we will never know for sure.

              Hello Vadim and Patrick,

              thanks four your replies.

IMO this is an original one with uncommon pin (as Patrick said).

I got it from private purchase, but of course that is not a guarantee that it is good.

              Any other comments?

              Best wishes

My opinion for both of them is:

I'll not say the pin assembly, by the way i think i have seen a large quantity of them several years in Manion's Auction or in AAG international.

For the L/14's i'll stick only with the known and sure original version, even a possibly zink is original but is looking very different from yours Patrick and don't forget the several fake WBs with this maker mark out there.

For the black i can't see a good point and detail... no comments.
