    Memellandes Medal Bar

Newest addition to my Memellandes Medal collection.

    Memel is an S&L.

I'm told by the boys on the cross forum that the EKII is from the maker 140/L/54.

    A scarce maker.

To bad about the paint on the cross but the bar was purchased for the Memel.

    Wayne,

A lovely medal bar. These longer, all Third Reich combos are hard to come by.

    Best regards

This is a killer piece Wayne!
As far as I know the only original wartime medal bar with a Steinhauer & Luck Memel mounted. A unique piece.

      My books:

      - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
      - THE SS TK RING
      - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
      - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
      - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

      and more!

        Antonio,

Do you think that more may be found in the future with S&L?

Top medal bar! EK-paint wouldn't be a problem for me too.

                  Kind regards, Peter

A question: Shouldn't the Sudetenland award be positioned on the bar prior to the Memel? i.e. be the 1st award on the bar.

The Sudetenland Medal is prior to the Memellandes Medal.

Very nice bar Wayne, lovely condition.

On the EK1, is it marked with both 140 and L/54? Can we see a closeup if you can manage?

                            Thanks

                            Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
