    help with a couple of medals

    Hi
    these are two more medals from a collection I recently inherited. I am working my way through sorting the good from the bad. Is it possible to let me know what these medals are and if they are original. hope I have them in the correct section.

      They have something to do with farming...usually are given for long service or will have the name of a farm product on the medal..this one for faithful service.

            The second one is for the Annexation of Austria.

              Hello,
              the first medal is from the German "Reichsnährstand".
              I think the Medal is original but the ribbon is false, must be a green ribbon.. Correct name of this medal is: "Ehrenzeichen in Bronze der Landesbauernschaft (LBS) Pommern". Value: 140 Euro.

              History:
              The Reichsnährstand was formed 13 Sep 1933 by the Reichsminister für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft, Walther Darré, when all farmersorganisations was merged into one.
              It was responsible for price control, imports, rationing, distribution and production related to agriculture and organised everyone working in the agricultural sector.
              When the food shortage began to be felt during the war due to the bombings, Darré was suspended May 1942 and relaced by Herbert Backe May 1944.

                    Also check out the lettering on the anschluss medal. I haven't seen one with that large font before. Unusual and very nice.

                        The anschluss medal I would not be so fast to put in the good pile. That font is not correct for these and I have my doubts that it is a variation.
