Very nice medal and case, although the case is probably for the Austrian Anschluß Medal rather than the Memel Medal.

Yes, the reason I asked is that in an article in The Armourer a couple of months ago Jamie Cross put forward the theory that all cased Memel Medals come in 'Hauptmunzamt, Wien' labelled cases ... like this one ..

No, IMO it is a "29", Hauptmünzamt Berlin.
F&B medals as wrote in the Memel book, need to find some more proofs to be considered really F&B. Until some more evidences will surface, IMO all the medals of this type should be attributed to the Hauptmünzamt Berlin.

On the Memel book there's explained why these medals are attibuted to the Hauptmünzamt Berlin.
I found me too Memels in both annexation medal cases, but no one in a "Hauptmunzamt, Wien" labelled one.
Maybe there were some cooperations between the various Hauptmünzamt? Who knows...

so, the case I shown on the top is for Austrian medal or memel?
or the case can be for both?

Both case appears different texture. I believe both cases are for different medals, is that right?

The cases are the same but by different manufacturers. The Memel did not have a specific, unique case BUT as I said earlier there is speculation (from Jamie Cross) that the Memel Medal is only originally found in the 'Hauptmunzamt, Wien' case.
