Opinions on this Red Cross DRK (???)

Hi guys. I run a local buy advertisement for german helmets and daggers. From time to time I get emails with things that I don't know much about. This is one of those items.

I wish I had more pictures but this is all that has been provided. Never seen a case like that... but I know I haven't seen everything.

Can anything be gained from these pictures as far as authenticity? Also what would a piece like this be worth? Thanks in advance.

I think it is a reproduction but it is hard to tell from these photos. Can you get a photo of the reverse of the cross?

According to my book its definitely a fake due to one obvious flaw. The piece attached to the medal that connects to the ring is in the wrong direction.

^^^Notice how the ring threads through the medal left to right, not front to back.

as well the case and ribbon are from a very bad fake version of the 'Pour Le Merite' that has been around for a while
