The one on the left in the picture with white background has a repro ribbon and appears to be a straight G Type 5, the one with original ribbon (on the right) appears to be a straight G Type 6, and the one on ribbon bar is unknown to me. All (minus the one stated with repro ribbon) pass UV test, no MM, all have variations on "M"'s on the back as they should.

The medal on the parade mount is definitely a fake, it's hard to tell with the other 2 with the pictures you've posted, if you could take clearer, closer straight on pictures and post them it will help.

cant take better pics at the moment because Im not home, but are you sure the one on the parade mount is fake? Passed UV test and its part of a huge medal bar which I had checked out. The bar itself is original with all original medals and ribbons (the memel is the only one Im not sure of) and it hasnt been tampered with.

I agree that the memel on the Parade Mount is fake, I believe its a Souval postwar example.

Not sure about the other 2 singles as I don't have my reference book with me, but hopefully Antonio will come in shortly with his expertise.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Second white background photo memel on the left is a good Petz & Lorenz.

One on the right is probably good also. Better photo needed.

Memel on bar is a fake. Known as the Ugly Fake in Antonio's book.

Bar would be suspect also but that is just my opinion.

'Ugly fake' is certainly a good name for it! Peee-eww!

As Wayne pointed out first is a good P&L, second is (probably) a good Straight G 7, and third is fake.
On the book I called it "ugly fake" because it is the worst on market.

The whole bar is not one I would want in my collection.

Taking a closer look at the maybe G7.

                      Check out the hair line.

An original has a blown back type of hair.

The one in the picture the hair line appears more rounded.

If it is rounded then it is a fake also.

A clear photo of the man on the right head would clear this up.

I dont have the means to take closer pics with the camera I have but I assure you it does have the blown back hair line. Just tough to see in that lighting, photos.

Thanks for the help everyone, much appreciated!

I absolutely agree, better pictures are needed. There are fakes very close to originals, fuzzy pictures are not enough to understand if a medal is good or not.

                              CLOSE UP PICS:

This is the medal on the left with the repro ribbon.
