Medal Bar EK1 + Hindenburg + KVK

Hi,

My eyes fell on this medal bar this week. What do you guys think? I have never bought myself a medal bar but I'm more and more getting interested in them, especially when it has a WW2 medal next to something from WW1.

Do you feel the setup and the back is OK?
The Hindenburg Cross is marked P. & C. L. which stands for ... ??

The photos are small but that's what I was given from the seller

PS: And how come that on this bar, the KVK is in front of the Hindenburg Cross? Is it because the Hindenburg Cross doesn't have the swords?

Phew, I got to get myself a book or two, medal bars can be tough...

The second bar look fine to me, but i would like to see the back., if possible. I am not sure about the first one. Could you provide a closeup of the catch?

I'm not sure if in this first case, it's a period error or it has been changed at a later date. I will surely ask for a photo of the catch and place it here as soon as it arrives. I'm still a bit confused...

you are right with your abbrevation, its P & C L of course. And i guess, its a period mistake on the first bar. I have seen it before, that the WW 2 awards were mounted after the WW1 awards. I don´t see that as a problem.

Detail on the maker from the Hindenburg Cross

There is a bar like this one in the E-stand section.

Although the medals look ok to me it would not surprise me if this is a post war bar. Maybe a vet ordered this bar. It is not uncommon that vets placed the medals the other way around to hide the swastika. It is unlikely that a wartime medal bar maker made the mistake with the HB in the wrong place.

But could you post a close up front shot of that catch ?
As it looks like a hand snipped brass catch , which are a clear sign of a reproduction.
