Fantastic group, Francois, however it seems that the spange Prager Burg is missing from the Grossordensspange. Any reason for this? BTW I particularly like the urkunde signed by Gerhard Kollewe.

Your guy has the bar "Prager Burg" on his ribbon bar for the occupation of Sudetenland medal, but the bar is missing from the mounted group, perhaps an oversight during mounting? The autograph I'm referring to is on the photo of the document you posted for the stick pin "Reiter" badge, a nice signature.

Italian catch system

AFAIK some Spanish medals were made in Italy during the Spanish civil war. Of course that neither prove nor disprove anything.
OTOH, was the use of those kind of unit pins a pre-existent German custom? All Spanish Nationalist Air Force units had their own enameled silver pin. Perhaps Germans copied the idea from their Spanish comrades.
BTW: François, the Red Military Merit Medal in your bar is reversed. The castles/lions disc is on the obverse.
