New 6 place ribbon bar with Wiederholungsspange

I just got this very nice "miniature" ribbon bar sewn on a strip of aluminum as the backing...

Any possible way to identify this WW1 NCO or Junior officer?

Interesting that he is not wearing any Austrian, Hungarian or Bulgarian commemorative awards on this bar.

The detail on the Spange is quite impressive, too.

Hi Erich,

Very nice bar! Good pickup on your part. With regard to identification, this is always difficult. There are some guys out there who have scores of rolls and rank lists to aid in this endeavor - I am not one of them.

From my perspective, only the third award will aid you in finding out who this might have been. But the other awards are all common, and are not much of a help at all. But I would let the true researches assist you with the final word on this.

I agree the Bavarian award...along with long service awards might, might just shed some light on the wearer's identity...but all the awards are rather common as you say.

Hi Erich,

A lovely ribbon bar there! I really like it.

Unfortunately it would be impossible to ID I think. The Bavarian ribbon could represent the Military Merit Cross (NCO), and not the Order.
