Help to ID medal.

This is another item from the collection I recently aquired. I collect British militaria and know very little about German items and am trying to sort the good from the bad.
Can anyone please let me know what this medal is and if it is original.

its the 8 year ss long service medal! i know what it is but not if its real! robin lumsden or some of the other exspert can tell you if its real though! if you dont get any other replys post it on the ss section and the ss collecters should help out to!hope it helps!
