Wond Badge Silver MM L 60

Do genuine wound badges in silver marked L/60 exist? One type with thin needle and one type with flat needle?
Can anyone post a picture especially of the flat variant?

    Thanks
    Hansi

I have now heard, that Gustav Brehmer (L/60) was not a producer of wound badges.
    Is that definitly true?

          Hi Hansi,

First time I've seen one of these particular badges marked!! As far as I know the badges are OK, but definitely not standard. Is the marking definitely L/60, as it's hard to make it out in the image? The image isn't the best, but the finish and maker mark all appear believable to me - the mark could be a later addition though I suppose. Unless other info comes along, I'd give the badge a thumbs up and suggest a wound badge by previously "unknown" maker has been now been typed.

            Hi Mike,

I only have this foto from the backside.
The seller says, that it is marked L/60 - Gustav Bremer.
So if Bremer did not produce wound badges, the badge must be marked later to raise the price.
I told the seller, that I will stay away from it because of the wrong maker mark, although it is a fine looking badge.

            Thank you very much
            Hansi

                Thanks Don,

the main question is: Did Brehmer produce wound badges?
Does anyone have a clue to this??

Here is a foto of the front:

                  Hi Hansi,

I also saw this badge for sale and it is the first L/60 I have seen. But never say never. One thing is for sure, the badge itself is good and maybe the maker mark as well.
                  Cheers, Frank

                    Yes Frank, who knows??
So it could be a remarkable badge.

                    Thanks for all replies

                        Hi,

Chris, Hansi decided to back out of the deal, let me know who had it and I picked up the badge. It's at home, but I'm not. I'll post some pics early next week, time permitting.

                        Regards

                          Hi,

Here are some pics of the badge as promised. It is the same large size as the normally encountered unmarked examples. Die struck. Appears to be heavily silver plated tombak. No repairs to hinge/pin/catch. The maker mark (although blurry in the scan) is sharp in the hand and definitely L/60 (stamped, not raised). Silver finish is present within the recesses of the markers mark.

Looks fine to me - imo a keeper. That doesn't mean the maker mark hasn't been a later addition, but even that seems authentic to me. Anybody else got an L/60 maker mark to compare to?

                          Regards
