I'm posting these pics for Waffen-Mike.
Seems like a nice medallion here, lovely detail and maker's mark you can just about read Nürnberg...
any ideas what/when/how etc..?

That is a first prize medallion for an artillery competition. Usually the are marked for the Regiment and Battery on the back...
