Afrika Feldzugmedaille

Afternoon/Evening gentlemen,

I recently obtained this Italo-German Afrika Medal, unsure to it's authenticity if original perhaps a Type 4. Lorioli? or perhaps it's just a dud

Would anyone care to cast their opinion?

Hi , how are you?

Pictures are a little fuzzy, but it appears as casting fake. Can't even distinguish if that is the script below the the crocodile or cast imperfections?

I'll come out and call bad.

No flattening of the band under the suspension ring, savoy knot is not thin and the detail is soft. Not a type 4 Lorioli that I would want.

I can only agree with the guys: no doubt this is a cast fake.

Just to know: do you have diameter and weight?

Quick update,

Weight = 9.8g.
Diameter = 30mm

I'll leave it at that along with my professional photography,

Much appreciated guys I will leave these medals alone till i invest in Mr. Scapini's highly recommended book on the subject

As suspected it is smaller and lighter than originals type 4 medals. If you look the reference measurements in the book you will see the differences.
