    Wound Badge, Origional?

    Greetings,

I have owned this Wound Badge for about five years I purchased it form RZM Collectibles here in New Hampshire. I have learned of other badges in my collection which have turned out to be reproductions. How does this one look?

It has a maker's mark raised 65 just above the hook. Any ideas on maker?

    Thank you very much.

        65

        Chris,

        65 is Klein & Quenzer, Idar/Oberstein.

Here is a picture of another 65. The wound badge experts can provide you more information on your badge. I note that the 65 on yours is much lower, toward the catch. I am sure someone will enlighten us on this difference.

From what I have learned is the 65 marked in the center is early. The ones
marked at bottom are later. The later ones are thicker and more heavy than
                      ones marked in center.
