      Hi,

I've just got a new BWB too.

In two minds whether to post it in case it's a repro!

As for yours, I'm afraid I'm unable to help. But I know exactly how you feel!

      Mark.

Hi Chico, I am not an expert on wound badges but I am very fond of them. I feel that yours is original, but it differs in detail to my "107" marked example. The pin, hinge and catch are the same, but the makers mark on mine is in a cartouche and not a rectanglular box. I have had mine almost 30 years now. I recall I paid £4 for it. Perhaps some of the other members can help you further?

Hi Mark, please post up your badge. You will sleep better knowing if it is good.

        Cheers, Ade.

The markings on the pin (I think it says 117, one of the reasons I'm concerned).

Hi Mark, looks fine to me? Although I have not seen that pin marking before.

                Cheers, Ade.

                  Thanks Ade.

Maybe some others may have (although I've searched the forum and haven't found it mentioned)?

                  Mark.

Hi Mark, not mentioned here either, but that does not mean they were not a legit maker.

                      Nope.

Maybe it'll be a new one to add to the list!

                        Great band!
A little bit off topic, but still....

                            ErrorGuard

I would recommend staying away from the wound badge website cited by Adrian in post #10 above. The website is fine --- but Explorer goes crazy as you get one message after another asking you if you want to download ErrorGuard. I had to do a CTRL-ALT-DEL to stop it all. Now I have to run another program to see if it installed any crud on my computer.

Thanks Mads. Can't beat the oldies!

Didn't notice that Mike, maybe one of the good things about XP SP2 and its built in Pop-up blocker.

Hope everything is OK and you didn't get spywared etc.
