4 place ribbon bar. Authentic?

Hello guys,

I'm looking for a 4 to 6 place ribbon bar for a waffenrock infantry tunic. Saw this one for sale (see link). Although it's marked as a 5 place, I think it is a 4 place? Is this a genuine one? I think so, but stil would like the opinions of the experts. Many thanks

This is a 5 place ribbon bar....Iron Cross 2nd Cl. 1939; Wehrmacht 4 Yr. long service medal; Wehr. 12 Yr. Serv, medal; Austrian Anschluss Medal; and Sudetenland Medal. (may be reversed...but thats what's represented)..

It appears to be original but the wool backing appears replaced or resewn....which would effect it's value some.... IMO.

On a Waffenrock (Dress) tunic.... this would probably be a long serving NCO or officer of "1st Lt./capt./maj.'s rank" (estimate, of course).... (over 12 yrs. service)... probably around 1939/40...(Poland/France)...

Depending on the price of the bar.....for display, should be fine IMO.

Thanks John for your decent explanation. The price they ask is 85£, about 105€ - about 143$. The tunic has shoulderboards - rank Oberfeldwebel.

I have compared the price of the ribbon bar in my first post with those who are on offer on Kai's shop. Indeed first one is a little expensive. Peter, thanks for the link. Have ordered one. Many thanks for your help.

No, problem.

Just remember that Winkler is also expensive and knowingly sells fakes sometimes, so have the bar checked. With that said, he has alot of nice ribbon bars.
