Hope this forum is the right venue to show this.
This watch fob came my way recently, so far I have found the following:
The round enamel badge is known as "Petsamo-Rovaniemi Abzeichen".
Gebirgsjäger Germans who had/used this badge, had travelled the road from Rovaniemi into Petsamo.
It was a semi official badge that indicated their travel between those towns.
The Salla Badge is also a Finnish Travelling badge which shows that owner of this item probably fought in Salla front.
The enamelled sword-yielding rampant lion badge I have not found any info about it and help will be appreciated.
Does this look period authentic?
How rare or common are these semi official badges?
What is an approximate monetary value for it? , wondering if I did not overpaid.
Your sincere opinion is always welcome and I thank you in advance.
Thank you,
Vellocino
