what is your opinion on this Sudentenland medal ? It was in a collection of post war Souval stuff, so I'm not sure what to make of his one.

I would consider this one as a war time medal altough I have no clue if Souval made any post war Sudeten medals.

Souval offered the Sudetenland Medal in his post war listings. Not sure if these were war time leftovers or newer produced medals. I have seen post war produced Austrian & Memel Anschluss medals marked L/58 though.

Souval produced all the Flower war Medals after the war, but used a different die. The reason is why he probably didn't produce them during the war.

However this one is an original wartime piece.

              My books:

              - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
              - THE SS TK RING
              - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
              - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
              - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

              and more!

                Hi Alex,

I agree with Joseph and Antonio. The medal is an original example of the Third Reich Period.

                Best regards,
                Tom

Per old R. Souval 1971 Catalog Listing,- the Ostmark Medal was their item #9/34; the Sudeten was item #9/35, & the Memel was item #9/37; all priced the same @ 21.40 DM. Item #9/36 was the Prag Bar to the Sudeten Medal @ 12.90 DM.

Does anyone have a Souval postwar Sudetenland or Austrian medal or pictures of these medals and can show them here?

                    Michael

Is it definate that Souval didn't produce any Anschluss medals during the war time ?

I see no problems w/ this medal... appears the typical war time produced quality IMO.

                        Thank you, Scott
