Afrika Medal in Silver and ribbon bar

Dear friends,

Philipp Militaria is currently selling two Afrika medals in silver. May I ask what your feelings are about these two medals? I feel that they aren't same, ie. the word 'Africa' in the Italian sentence looks different (unfortunately, makers mark is too far away to judge):

While searching for a matching ribbon bar, this should be a mistake (I copied the line and added the enlargement):

Although it mentions otherwise, isn't this the bar for the Memel occupation medal?

Im not sure about that ribbon, but the ribbon should be Black White Red White Green

Hi Suppi,have just clicked onto this post, medal looks ok to me , lettering fine. These silver (zinc) Africa medals are looked on with suspicion due to the fact most copies are made from white metal. Yours looks Zinc to me? These medal where coated in a bronze wash or bronze plated, the wash on these came off quite easily and the one shown seems to display a brown residue around the rim and in the crevasse of the two gadiators and croc, as well as in the lettering. Hope this is of some help. If you are thinking of buying i would say to keep your mony for a good bronze one they do come around quite often.
