Ribbons, devices, pips and medal mounting parts

I was trying to locate some of my things today, and I found these left over from one of my order bunch of stuff I used to take to the shows when I was active. So I took some quick shots of what I found.....there are a few more things somewhere. There are mostly things left over from a bunch of stuff I got out of old tailors shops when I was stationed in Germany from 1973-76. I do not know what they go for today, what do you think?

    Thanks,
    Ron

Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end! 76-79. I'm sure it cost you all of a couple of marks or a bottle of Beam I've got a case similar with numerals, pips, and buttons.

      Kondor,

No way........I was a JAGC trial attorney in 8th ID, and that would have been illegal...."black market"; however, I don't remember how many DMs. I just know I got my money back many years ago, and still have some rolls of ribbon left (but not as many as once upon a time). I also still have a few buttons, other numbers and devices, toe and heel plates for boots, a few hob nails, and more pips and scattered parts.....just have to find them. I had many tabs, boards, hat insignia and etc.. I sold a lot of that stuff at the OVMS right after I came back. I still have a few things somewhere.

I had a similar find many years ago, the only reel of ribbon I have left is for the Mother's Cross ? What reels of ribbon do you have available ?? Besides this lonely reel of Mother Cross ribbon, all I have left of that great find are : many of those little pins that go on the back of ribbons at the top; many buttons of all types; original bullion cap cords in silver & gold ( only 1 gold left ) in varying lengths; buttons in silver & gold with prongs for holding the cap cords on; many of the tiny golden political pips with tiny eagle-swastika for collar tabs & for the center of the swastika of political armbands, etc.

          Silesien,

I do not remember for sure all the rolls of ribbon, and loose ribbons, I have since they are packed away and I would have to dig them out sometime. I don't know what some of them are, since I think some might be either Imperial or foreign. I do remember that I have WW2 EK, I think some Winterschlacht Im Osten, KVK and maybe still some for the medal, various individual ribbons for medals some worn and some new lengths (I am unsure what all different ones); assorted buttons; belt supports; some zeltplan type buttons; Youth buttons; KM; Political...various types, including a few with unit numbers, however there are not a lot of any one. There is also a roll and a piece or sort of the cord for edging collars or collar tabs that is black and white alternating......like on some SS tabs.

I did some more looking yesterday and I found some more of the stuff, but not all. I have a few more things yet, and a few more I found but didn't photograph yet (devices, numbers, SA dagger grip eagle, and a few other parts). These are quick photos of them in a container I put them in last night. I don't know what some of the ribbons are, and there were even a few ribbons I suppose the tailor was working on.

There are some widths for medals and some for ribbon bars.

I don't think I have the schutzwall ribbon, but I will have to see exactly what I do have......some of the ribbon I really don't remember what it is for and some I never did know. I just also have to find out what a fair price is in today's world.

I have been getting questions about the ribbons and etc. from various people, so I am taking this method of responding. I don't even remember what I paid, and don't really know either what I have exactly or anything about values now. I have no idea when I will have time to mess with them, since my wife is having some problems related to her liver transplant......and I am having some lessor problems than her as well.

                      Thanks,
                      Ron

Thanks, Ian. It is appreciated. I would also like to add because I forgot to before, even though you are not one I got questions from, yes, I will sell these things.....I just need to find out a price fair to all, and I need time to really go through them, sort them, and figure out just what I have.

                          Thanks again,
                          Ron

Indeed; without that none of this stuff matters.

                              Take care and best wishes.
