Legion Condor medal - civil/non combatant version - question.

    Gentlemen,
I just got Legion Condor medal with the ribbon that has green edges instead of black ones.
I'm not very familiar with Legion Condor stuff, so are these green edged ribbons scarcer than those with black edges(combatant ribbon) or vice versa.
Usually I have seen only those black stripes.
    Any info on those?

    I'll post pics later.

    Cheers,
    -L-

green edges = non combatant, could be considered scarcer in quantity but few piople are looking for them

Thanks Francois for your quick answer!

I grabbed it, because it was in mint condition with it's wrapper and packet, and, of cource, it's nice looking medal.

I understood that these were still made in 50's? Is there any way to determine exact year when those medals were made?

Well, concerning dating I don't know (others maybe) but as a note, 8-10 years ago, I had a group of LC (untouched !!!) and the Medalla de la Campana was with green borders - this to show that in many cases (by experience) the German were not that regardant on foreign awards

These have been discussed before to some length, I recall I think Angel Farre or Bill Stump saying that indeed these Campaign medals were made up until the early to mid 1970's with the same style of box also !!

Angel maybe able to confirm this or not.
