Ah, ha! But only if they are Luftwaffe and especially if they are Luftwaffe with Spanish Civil war connection

I have often wondered where all these medal bars end up!

    Very nice!

wrong good friend, some came from Germany (not Hamburg) and some were traded with members of this forum who bought them from ..........

What is interesting is to observe regulations - especially in the middle

Regulations tell German medals first, but

Very nice, Francois! The bottom left one along with the miniatures I traded to Francois earlier this year. A really nice bar that I picked up on one of Detlev's updates.

Middle row, 3rd down camp medal first then the cross. Also you have the Luft service cross before and after the 'foreign' awards.

You have a mix match of before and after, and some of the bars are not in the correct order.....per regulations for Germany, middle bottom two.

And the last medal (not ribbon bar) bar far right, the Czech medal is in the wrong order, it should be first before the Spanish.

Yes, interesting. There could be the possibility of a mistake by the tailor or who ever put together those bars.... but you would think to see maybe only one?!

Perhaps the owner felt more a combattant of the Spanish Civil war (no TR combat decorations) and wanted those medals first?

Hi Rich, I was thinking along the same lines too; pride in taking part in the Spanish Campaign made the wearer want these awards placed first in line.

                  Cheers, Ade.

I don't go with the "mistake" explanation (nor the warrior one) but more with the chronological way the medals were received - but I can be wrong.

Example of non respect of the regulation

Close up - you can compare to the one top right of the first picture (which follow the regulations)

or a "frackspange" which shouldn't be worn horizontal?

Yes, that could be the explanation also. Great photo!

speaking of regulations: KVKII ribbon = not the medal

                              Maybe special regulation for/during weddings
