Rather strange hinge assembly. Is it convex like a HSF Badge, or is it just the photo?

I was under the impression and from what I have seen that the silver wound badges were of solid construction as opposed to being stamped. I could be wrong though

Well, the jury tends to be out on that one Laurence, but there is evidence that black wound badges were painted silver and gold and issued as such in the late stages of the war.

It does look wierd though ... Id like to see a straight on pic of the reverse.

Hi Darrell, the badge you refer to as a "WW1 with a Swastika" is a so called "Spanish" pattern wound badge. See here for more detail:

                      Cheers, Ade.

Adrian you are correct. It is (supposedly) a Spanish Pattern Wound Badge .. ie. the Reverse. However, the Obverse is WW2.

I wonder if he has attached the wrong reverse pic?

                            AHA!

I actually did not attach the wrong reverse. This is what the seller sent me. This is also the same seller that tried to scam Panzerman(JIM) out of 1200 for a RK.

Judging by the absolute confusion by the forum and the seller's inability to send me the photos I requested, proves that he is scamming again. This fraud is sending collected pictures off the internet from other items and passing them off as his. Just as the case with Jim's RK.

                            Thanks everyone!
