I think the packet may just be ok
Allan has a 107 KVK packet which has similar if not the same traits.
I like it to be honest, lets see what Tom and Allan think or indeed anyone else of course with packets etc.
(I haven't forgotten about the 'gift', I'll send the pair of you them on Monday)

Dear Marcus, the package came with just the ribbon and i heard a story the the first eastern front medals were issued only with a ribbon due to shortage of the medals is that correct?

I have no idea on that I'm afraid, I've heard the EK-RK stories but not the Eastern Front one. Possible I guess
??? At some stage of the war......but I doubt it. No I'd have just thought the medal & ribbon were issued.....or perhaps for a practical purpose a regiment may have issued just the ribbons ?
I've never heard that before ?
