    laurel wreath david star

    Hi to you all
1984 I was in Berlin and I came acroos a badge in the flea market that got me intrested so I bought it . It is marked at the back DRG .
what I found strange about it is that it has a david star and we all know what david star meant to nazzi Germany at the time .
If any one look at it ,knows about it and recognize it to tell about the history of it and wat it means .I thank you all

I think it is from earlier then 1933, probably imperial but can also be from Weimar era.
Very small pics but he looks to be in uniform, so I assume the broch belonged to his wife while he was away or as a memory broch if he died.
I also assume it says D.R.P. (Deutsche Reich Patent) on the back and not D.R.G.
If you post better pics in the imperial forum maybe someone can identy the state he was from by the uniform.

    /peter

As Peter says, not WWII but older, typical WWI brooch with a picture of the soldier who left for the front. Worn by wives or mothers at home.

In ww1 many jews fought for the germans as did in ww2...(much less in ww2, but hid their origins) luft general..milch was just one, I also have a navy photo mounted similarly except without the star of david. Now can you post another shot of the front so we can see it.
