Hi Dave, you have here a very very nice TDB type 1. The tank should be magnetic, and you can check it with a magnet (but exist tanks in Buntmetall, so don't worry if the magnet doesn't work).

      My books:

      - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
      - THE SS TK RING
      - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
      - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
      - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

      and more!

              Hello Dave,

Never owned one of these yet. But, if I did, this would be the exact type that I would want to have. Very nice one!

              Best regards,
              Tom

                Very Nice Original TDB !

You have a very nice 100% original TDB there !! Green canvas backed are the most common seen, however they are also IMO one of the best types made. Tom

                  Dave:

You have a nice 1st pattern 'Single-handed' Tank Destruction Strip that is an "original".

                  Your other question:

The tank is supposed to represent the Panzer "IV" Ausf 'C' with the 75mm short-barrel gun.
The error is that the designer only put 3 'return wheels' on this when there were 4. He also
missed putting the 'hatch-door' on the turret side & only shows the vision port.

                  Ron.
