    Memel medal originality help please.

    Hello all,
    I am new to this forum and would like to know if this memel medal i purchased is original, Ive looked into it a bit and know these are qute rare and are faked alot. I think this could be S&L but i am not sure.
    Opinion from someone who has good knowledge would help alot.

    Its pretty hard to actually find a fake one of these now days. Latest references seem to put the list of wartime makers or variations at close to 100 so how can you miss?

    Depends on who you believe and if you write a book or not I guess.

      I would like to see a photo of the front of the medal(obverse).

      Looks like it could be a good Deumer or S&L.

      Need better photographs to tell for sure.

                Medal itself is a good original S&L as Wayne pointed out at the beginning. From these fuzzy pictures it's hard to see details.

                Darrell, I don't know why you wrote these words, and I don't care about (it's not the first time you try to attak me), but if you don't belive my work is a good reference book, feel free to write another one that argues against my thesis. I think it will be an hard work, however I'll be happy to see and read it.
                I remember you no one medal in the book is considered original without solid proofs.

                  Hello everyone,
                  Thank you very much for the confirmation, I believed for it to be S&L but a second opinion from people who have great knowledge clears up any problems and doubts i had about the medal.
                  I am happy with the price also. It cost me only 140 euros.
