    SS-Oberführer Martin Kohlroser / 6-piece ribbon bar

    Gents-

Attached two images of later SS-Oberführer Martin Kohlroser.

Can anybody help me ID the awards on the ribbon bar please?

Number 1 and 4 (from left to right) are clear. (EK2 and Sudetenland+Castle bar).

But what about no. 2, 3, 5 and 6 ? All foreign awards.

    Appreciating everyone's input.

    Thanks.

    Markus

    Hello Markus,

    To me it looks like:

    1) 1939 Iron Cross Second Class
    2) 1936 Olympic Games Decoration Second Class (looks like the eagle device is missing and two prong holes are evident)
    3) Austrian Annexation Medal
    4) Czech Annexation Medal with Prague Castle Clasp
    5) Italian Order of the Crown
    6) Not sure of this one, but obviously another foreign order/decoration.

    Best regards,
    Tom

Could No. 6 be the Hungarian Merit Order? It looks like a miniature of the decoration.

      Kind regards

        Hi Pierce,

I would say that is a very good possibility. The ribbon certainly looks like one solid color. I think you nailed it!

Another interesting aspect is that he is wearing his EK2 ribbon on his right pocket. I like how its hooked up under the button and flaps. Perhaps I just never noticed this before but I don't recall many wearing it this way? You typically see the ribbon on the 2nd button from top on the feldbluse.

          Thank you,
          Scott

Excellent Johan and Pierce... I haven't come across many Blood Order info before so it didn't enter my mind. I did some research and found this really neat picture on how to wear the blood order.

                Thank you,
                Scott
