                    Rundstedt surrendered around May, 1945 and died at Feb 53.
                    Assuming that photo showing his grandson playing the baton was taken before May, 45, then it is interested to see his baton still appeared at his Feb 53 funeral service.
                    But when , how and why his baton now ends up in US museum?

                      I believe it's currently held at Wehrgeschichtliches Museum Rastatt (Germany)
