Hmmm it's missing one thing...found in a Barn!!! A typical not to believe story!! but people somehow want to believe these stories...thus you have one common Black (Missing alot of the black) wound badge which isn't worth the current $51 bid. Ebay strikes again!! Bill

Smak is right here. This indeed VERY rare!! No not the badge but the fact that this badge was on ebay for almost a week with the swastika fully shown and they didn’t take it off!!!

I think it seems cheap...especially compared to the guy asking $30 million dollars for another original photo of the flag raising at Iwo Jima...he hasn't had a bid yet...and he's had it valued by Sothebys....ah well....

To be fair the little old lady probably didn't know what it was and obviously nor does the seller and for that matter some of the bidders.

according to the lady that has asked me to sell this for it, this was given to her in 1961 in Germany by a man that was given this by Hitler's Party ... she could not remember the reason he gave her exactly, but best she can remember he said "he gave these to all his boys" ... whatever that meant ... it appears to be made of brass

Well, I'll play the devils advocate - how many of us can hope to realize $51.00 for a well-used but original black wound badge on the e-stand? I'd be happy to sell them for that much....

I believe an old soldier did say Hitler gave one to "all his boys". I'm sure he had a bitter smile on his face as he said it. As for the rare part, the seller only said "believed to be..."

I agree that the real suprise is that "swastika" is in the title and "Hiltler" is in the description AND there is a "full frontal" shot of the badge - it survived the thought police, ummmm I mean community safety watch group.

I recently posted an auction twice on Ebay for the same item.. a KVK with swords..the swastika was in full view..it was a 3 day auction.. the first time Ebay killed it on the second day..and the second time I made it to almost 6 hours before the end and they zapped me again..and yet, they allow the sale of porn videos and nudie pictures on their sight with no hassle...go figure..

I guess we should be thankful that it wasn't fake. That alone makes it super rare on e-bay!
