Hi all , I have this American Nazi badge but I feel it may be a fake so opinions appreciated.

IMO a fantasy badge, but I´m sure there are other collectors, with more knowledge in this area, out there.

I agree with Ludwig. I am not sure what "AV" would represent in English but the hard ware on the back of the badge is not what one would typically see from a jeweler in the U.S. This looks European made.

I might also add that at present time there is no Apollo, Arollo or Abollo jewelry company listed in Brooklyn, New York. Whether one existed in the past I do not know.

I just stumbled on this thread and find it intresting. It would be nice to see some more examples as well as some info to go with it.

Pin looks like a typical US pin as used from WWI-WWII...patina reminds me of WWI-30's bronze

When researching the name, keep in mind it may have been bought out by another jeweler. A very common practice, such as the famous BB&B being bought out by the less famous Zales.

Do a search on German American Bund and you'll find many strange items and photos. There guys virtually disappeared on December 8, 1941. Although the Bund supported the Nazis in Germany, the Germans never wanted anything to do with them.

                      Badge

                      Hello,
I think this badge could stand a chance of being good.

                      Regards,
                      Jody

Several years back, there was a guy at the SOS that had quite a display of AV items, and was planning to write a book on it. Here are some pics I took (with permission)...

Couple more... note the AV Frauenschaft pin and Mother's Cross (red enamel).
