    2 medals for review : 25y police + 10y NSDAP

    Hello guys,

I just got these two medals, could I please have your opinion please?
The NSDAP's ribbon doesn't pass the black light test

    Thanks!

Everything looks fine to me, even the nsdap ribbon.
Are you sure you are reading the blacklight test right? The white in a original ribbon always lights up a little when under uv-light but the modern ribbon glows very bright.

Even for me both medals look fine.

              My books:

              - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
              - THE SS TK RING
              - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
              - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
              - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

              and more!

                Thanks for your answer.
The NSDAP medal's ribbon glows really much compared to other period ribbons... just a bit less than a reproduction. I'll try to make pictures, if my camera allows that!

                    Thanks
The NSDAP medal's ribbon really stinks chimical product, is it possible that it has been cleaned and that this product makes the ribbon glow more that it should under black light?

                      Yes, its possible.
Also a burn test is always good to do but if the ribbon has been cleaned with some chemical product that may screw up the burn test.
Does the ribbon feel right in hand?

And if you can... post a better pic of it, like the one you took on the police ribbon, so we can see the weaving.

                            Thanks

Yep it feels right in hand, that's why I was so surprised it shined so much under black light
If I had to give an idea of the glowing (pictures doesn't look anything), here is how I could define the ribbon :
On a scale of 0 to 10, 0 is no reflection at all and 10 a perfect shiny reflection (reproduction). The ribbon is at about 7 or 8 on 10, whereas period ribbons are between 2 and 4 on 10.

                            Here are closeup pictures :

Dont worry, its a perfectly fine original ribbon.
