              Hi again, Chris!

Regarding Your pics, my opinion is as follows:

              a) both "Westwall"-medals are original (not sure about the ribbon)
              b) RAD-medal is looking good too - is it made from Aluminium?
              c) "Africa"-medal is also original (ribbon maybe a replacement)

              d) 4-years-WH-service: is it magnetic? As VonPeter wrote, it looks strange...

              Kind regards, Peter

All good as the guys say but that 4 year LS seems to be missing the rim

The 4 yr. service medal is not magnetic

                    Hi Chris and Nick!

There IS a type that is missing the rim at the front, but MINE (on the bar I post here) is a magnetic one... Let's wait for Tom and Antonio, I would be interested in their opinion too.

                    Kind regards, Peter

                      Looks good

Looks Good. A nice set of 4 & 8 year Heer medals, Nice Rad original, and two Westwalls that are Legit (one in zinc and one in Tombak). Congrats.

There are more problems then the missing rim on the obverse
                        * The eagels head looks crude.
                        * The h in wehrmacht looks like a long fishing hook.
                        * The swastika looks like it is raised in an angle, like a pyramid.
                        * The feather to the far left touches the letters
                        * There is a big gap between the eagles legs.
                        * When zoomed there seems to be a lot of pockmarks on the letters
                        * On the reverse there is a big gap between the ribbons on top

There are of course a lot of variants of these awards but this medal has just to many stranga things for my taste. But thats just my opinion, based merely on my humble experiences with these.

But since it is not made of iron, maybe that can explain the crude apperence? Or the medal is just a bad fake...

I think this medal needs more opinions.
                        P.S.
                        Nice bar Peter

                          a) Personnally I think the 4-year-service medal is a fake, but I'm not sure.
                          b) Thanks for the kind comment on my bar!

                          Best regards, Peter

I like all the medals, even the 4 year long service.
It is a die struck medal, and this is a good point, and the way it is done reminds me the Steinhauer & Luck production. Until today I've never find a die struck fake of the 4 years long service medal, only cast fakes.
This one is not magnetic, but considering all the variants existing I would have no problmes to put it in my collection
The only problem I see of this one is its thin/missing rim, but it can happen in a die struck process.

I have only one doubt: if it can belongs to the Souval or S&L post war production, because I don't remember their design.

                            - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
                            - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE

                            and more!

                              Guys,
Even rimless, the 4 year badge looks alot better in hand.
